R.I.P. Paul Walker

It’s early Tuesday morning and I’m laying in bed still completely heartbroken because of Paul Walker’s death. Hopefully writing my thoughts will help. First of all I would like to say rest in peace to Roger Rodas as well, who tragically passed away along with Paul in the accident. Many people are trying to point out that nobody seems to care about him because he wasn’t famous. I’m speaking for myself and hopefully many others when I say that couldn’t be farther from the truth. I genuinely care that a man unexpectedly died and left behind his family. I believe the reason so many people are solely posting about Paul Walker is because everyone knew him. Many people grew up watching the Fast and the Furious movies, myself included. He became a hero to myself and millions of others. Although so many of us did not know him personally, we all felt we had a connection with him because of the emotional attachment we experienced within the movies. I truly cried when I found out he had passed away, it just didn’t seem possible. This is surely not the first or the last time this will happen. For example, many adults who grew up listening to Elvis or Michael Jackson were devastated when they passed away, although they didn’t know them personally. The same applies to so many in this situation. That is one reason why millions of people are truly heartbroken after Paul Walker’s death. Another reason I have found is that he was more than just a great actor. I’ve learned in the past few days that Paul Walker was a genuinely down to earth man. He founded Reach Out World Wide, an organization intended to provide aid to those in need after natural disasters strike. I’ve read numerous statements by those who knew him personally, and they all are a testament to how kind and unselfish he really was. It’s awful that he had to leave us at the age of 40 years young. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like him. I truly am devastated by his passing and although I did not know him, I will miss him. Heaven gained one outstanding angel. R.I.P. Paul Walker.
